Free Things to Do This Spring Break in Metro Vancouver

Spring Break is officially here! If you’re on the hunt for some fun free things to do in Metro Vancouver over the next couple of weeks, you’re going to want to keep on reading.

Burnaby Village Museum (11:00 am – 4:30 pm March 18th – March 28th)

You’re invited to explore this beautiful, diverse 10-acre open-air site in Burnaby. Special activities include heritage games, making Coast Salish seed balls, steam demos, school days, Indigenous outdoor games, a scavenger hunt, and more!

Brick Building at the Museum of Surrey (10:00 am – 1:00 pm March 19th)

Take a tour of the “Everything is Awesome” exhibit, while enjoying crafts, a scavenger hunt, and building with bricks.

Celtic Fest at the Museum of Surrey (1:00 pm – 4:00 pm March 23rd)

All ages are welcome for this event including live music and performances, Scottish dancing, crafts, vendors, and more.

Magic Shows at the Kids Market (11:30 am – 1:00 pm March 19th, 21st, and 26th)

Located on Granville Island, Kids Market is providing complimentary magic shows by Smartee Pants this Spring Break.

Face Painting at the Kids Market (11:00 am – 2:00 pm March 20th, 22nd, 27th, and 28th)

Kids can choose to transform themselves into a butterfly, unicorn, tiger, or superhero thanks to the talented face painters at Kids Market on Granville Island.

Spring Break at Britannia Shipyards (10:00 am – 4:00 pm March 15th – April 1st)

Learn about the interesting world of boatbuilding and enjoy a new fun scavenger hunt at the Britannia Shipyards National Historic Site in Richmond.

Night Quest at Pacific Spirit Regional Park (7:00 pm – 9:00 pm March 22nd & 23rd)

Experience the Pacific Spirit Regional Park transformed with glowing animal lanterns and friendly forest creatures. Additionally, there will be a campfire and family-friendly activities to enjoy!

Riley Park Winter Farmers Market (Every Saturday until March 30th from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm)

Hastings Park Winter Farmers Market (Every Sunday until April 28th from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm)

Each week you can expect over 35 vendors including farms and producers, food trucks, and more!

Hello Spring Art Fair & Egg Hunt (1:00 pm – 5:00 pm March 30th)

The perfect family-friendly activity to embrace the vibrant art scene. The day will include pieces by talented local artists and an exciting egg hunt.
