Spring has sprung, which means the Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival is right around the corner!
The annual festival is returning March 29th – April 25th for the 2024 season, and this year’s schedule is packed with a diverse range of events in some of Vancouver’s most iconic locations.
Here are some of the wonderful events happening throughout the festival.
Blossoms After Dark (6:00 pm – 10:00 pm March 29th – 31st)
Experience the enchanting illumination of the cherry blossom trees in the beautiful David Lam Park. The three-night event will include bubble performances, dance performances, glow cotton candy, pink popcorn, and of course, an array of photo and video opportunities.
The Big Picnic (9:30 am – 4:00 pm March 30th)
Grab your friends, a camera, and your picnic blanket for this massive community picnic happening rain or shine. The day will include interactive workshops, art classes, food trucks, and more.
Sakura Days Japan Fair (10:00 am – 6:00 pm April 13th and 10:00 am – 5:00 pm April 14th)
Taking place at VanDusen Botanical Garden, this two-day event invites you to celebrate Japanese culture through food, performances, drinks, games, and art. Additionally, there will be an array of local vendors and exhibitors.
In addition to these events, you won’t want to miss out on the various pop-up events, biking, tree walks, and workshops happening throughout the city.
